Take-and-Teach Curriculum

Materials for use by agencies as they orient new DSPs.  

Includes a PowerPoint Presentation with detailed instructor notes pages, an Instructor Manual, a Student Manual and a certificate of completion. Materials provided on memory stick with one professionally bound version shipped to purchaser.

Agency will receive an electronic document, as well as a printed/bound Instructor Manual and 1 Student Manual. Additional printed and bound materials are available for an additional fee.

This course meets the DSP training requirement for prior to providing direct services and within the first 30 days of hire. It is recommended that the full course be taught to DSPs prior to providing direct services.

The Academy has built upon department provided curriculum by providing instructor’s notes pages and additional supplementary materials to expand upon those topics. The Academy has included in the course the training topics that are required by DODD to be provided or arranged by the agency provider.

These materials are recommended, though not required, for use with the Academy 90 Day Orientation workbooks, available separately.
